About Habitual

Habitual is an interior design studio focused on renovations and spaces designed for everyday life. We are interested in understanding how people live and use each space in order to create functional, well-maintained, and lasting spaces.

Although we are based in Madrid, we work internationally with a network of trusted collaborators, with projects in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris.

What we do

Space review

We help you understand the potential of a space before making a decision. Whether it is a home, café, shop or restaurant, we assess how it can be transformed to fit your needs.

Design only

We design your space in detail, from layout to materials, and provide all the documentation needed for execution.

From start to finish

We plan your project from start to finish, designing every detail from the layout to the choice of materials. We also oversee the construction process to ensure that every detail is carried out exactly as planned.

Behind Habitual

I'm Lis Llamosas, founder of Habitual. After 8 years running usstudio.nl and working between Amsterdam and Paris on renovation projects, I now continue my practice from Madrid.

Although my background is in architecture, my work has always been focused on interior design and the way people experience spaces.
I design homes around the people who use them: how they use them today, how their needs change over time, and how each space can make everyday life better.
I find beauty in functionality. I don't believe in decoration without purpose. Every decision should have a reason.
I'm fascinated by making the most of every square meter, finding possibilities where they seem impossible, and creating solutions that feel natural over time.
I believe in thoughtful design, lasting materials and spaces that age well.
Having lived in 13 homes, 7 cities and 6 countries, I understand how important it is to create a place that truly feels like home.
Today, from Madrid, I design spaces around everyday life and built to last.
